23th December 2022: QMatrix helps children in the region with Christmas donations

Bellheim, December 23, 2022 – QMatrix GmbH is supporting children and young people in particular with its Christmas donation this year. The company once again donated 1,500 euros to the Landau-Südliche Weinstraße District Association for Child Protection. The children and youth village Maria Regina in Silz received another 1,500 euros.

The year 2022 has been a very difficult one for many. Due to the war in Ukraine, the ongoing corona situation, the energy crisis and inflation, families in need of help in particular are struggling with rising costs and are threatened by existential fears. These worries and fears intensify conflicts in families. , which makes it necessary to have professional contact points to strengthen them.

With this year's Christmas donation, QMatrix GmbH therefore supports the youth and family counselling service of the Child Protection Association. "The youth and family counselling centre helps children when their parents separate, when an important caregiver is lost or when a parent is mentally ill," explains Sina Ludwig from the Kinderschutzbund. "In the BLAUER ELEFANT children's house, we offer a variety of services, from individual support for adolescents or parent counselling to groups for children going through a divorce."

Giving adolescents in crisis a home and strengthening them is also the task of the children and youth village in Silz. Almost 90 children and young people from infancy to independence are currently living here in nine residential groups. They are looked after by 85 employees. An outpatient service also offers individual educational assistance.

With regard to the QMatrix donation, facility manager Michael Eberhart emphasizes: “We can use this to support our children and young people in a targeted manner. For example, we can help adolescents who are about to leave our care with the first step towards independence. This can be, for example, a driver's license subsidy or a toaster for the first apartment. But even excursions for groups can often only be realized with donations.”

"We decided on the child protection association and the children's and youth village as donation recipients from the region, because under their roofs children affected by crises, who are the most vulnerable in society, find support," says Stefano Lisci, Managing Director of QMatrix. The international company has been involved with Christmas donations for children for several years. Projects such as the children's and young people's telephone, the digitization of the child protection association or the purchase of a cargo bike for the children's and young people's village have already been subsidised.
